Congrats to Leah, who just finished up an 11-week long internship with the Smithsonian Science Education Center (SSEC) which is the only branch of the Smithsonian that focuses on formal K-12 education. In her role Leah developed a fifth grade physical science lesson, focused on properties of matter - and got to spend some time in Washington, D.C! Her materials will be a part of the Grade 5 Physical Science module and used in classrooms internationally. 

We officially said goodbye to Johnny who starts as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at UW-Milwaukee this month! He has made such an impact on our group and we know he will excel in Wisconsin. Good luck, Johnny!
